Lucerne SPEAKS! 2nd Meeting progress

Thank you to those who came out to the April 7th 2016 meeting, and to those who were there in spirit! it was good to see all of your shining faces and get your input.

Topics Discussed:

• The future of the North Shore Community Center in Lucerne (fundraising)
• What individuals can do to make a change in local water rates
• Formal Actions with the CPUC (California Public Utilities Commission)
• Formal Actions with California Water Service Company
• Engaging County Board Of Supervisors and State Government
• Researching Actions in County Courts
• researching the California Court of Appeals and reversing decisions made by CPUC
• The formation of a Special District and Municipal Water Agency
• Eminent Domain
• Wells and small neighborhood Well Water Systems  

All of this and more will be presented during the next meeting of Lucerne SPEAKS! 7 PM, April 14th at the North Shore Community Center in Lucerne. See you there!

Lucerne SPEAKS!

This last week of March 2016, will be the first meeting of 'Lucerne SPEAKS!', which is intended to be an active weekly forum where community members can work together to solve local issues, and ultimately make the town of Lucerne California a better place to live in...

Some topics that will be regularly revisited during each meeting will include:

• events
• water rates
• local economy
• culture, music, arts
• the community center
• and much more... (anything the community wishes to discuss)

Meetings will be held every Thursday at 7:00 PM at the North Shore Community Center, (formerly the Lucerne Alpine Senior Center)

'Lucerne SPEAKS!' also has a facebook page which will be updated regularly, along with this blog.
